As a Relief Veterinarian at PetIQ Veterinarian, you will get the satisfaction of providing care for pets without the pressures of a full-service veterinary environment. Whether you are a recent graduate or a seasoned veterinarian looking to further advance veterinary care in your communities, contracting with us might be for you. The PetIQ Relief Veterinarian’s primary purpose is to provide high-quality preventive care and client education. As a Relief Veterinarian you will be responsible for delivering preventive care at our weekday or weekend Community Clinics, ensuring that PetIQ procedures are followed to maintain our reputation as a leader in quality affordable preventative healthcare for our pet parents.

Essential Functions/Job Duties

  • On site Veterinarian care for our weekday and weekend community clinics
  • Perform brief medical exam, including vitals
  • Administer vaccines, limited diagnostic testing, microchipping, nail trim
  • Educate pet parents on preventative healthcare & products
  • Updating of electronic medical records
  • Clearly deliver and perform up to PetIQ medical standards & best practices
  • Strengthen PetIQ brand

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a licensed DVM in the state looking to practice in
  • Liability insurance: 1M per occurrence/2M aggregate
  • Ability to drive to a variety of locations
  • Weekend availability
  • Ability to use iPad/Tablet

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
