Job summary

Animal Emergency Center of Yorktown Virginia is seeking relief veterinarians to join our four-DVM team in delivering state-of-the-art emergency and critical care for small animals and some exotics. This privately owned clinic offers laser therapy, hospitalization, and emergency surgeries.

Ideal candidates have a DVM, active license, and a passion for compassionate teamwork and clear communication. DEA and USDA credentials are a plus but not mandatory; interns welcome to apply for relief roles as

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited university.
• Active veterinary state license required.
• DEA license preferred but not required; USDA accreditation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and critical care for small animals and some exotics.
• Cover overnight and weekend shifts as scheduled (e.g., 6PM–8AM or 4PM–Midnight; 8AM–6PM weekend).
• Collaborate with a four-DVM team to ensure high-quality patient care.

We are a privately owned clinic dedicated to providing state of the art emergency & critical care for small animals & some exotic pets. We offer laser therapy, hospitalization, bloodwork (Abaxis blood machine), and most emergency surgeries.

Job Description

We're looking for R elief Veterinarians who are compassionate, team players and strong communicators experienced in Emergency Medicine. We are looking for Wednesday and Thursday overnights (6PM-8AM or 4PM to Midnight) and Saturday and Sunday day shift (8AM-6PM).

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
• Active veterinary state license
• Current DEA License preferred but not required
• USDA Accreditation preferred but not required
