Job summary

Animal Emergency Center of Yorktown Virginia is growing and seeks relief veterinarians to join our four-DVM team. We provide emergency and critical care for small animals and some exotic pets, with services including laser therapy, hospitalization, and bloodwork.

Relief vets will cover Wednesday and Thursday overnights (6PM-8AM or 4PM-Midnight) and Saturday/Sunday day shifts (8AM-6PM). Requirements include a DVM from an accredited university and an active veterinary license; DEA license and USDA

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
• Active veterinary state license.
• Current DEA License preferred but not required.
• USDA Accreditation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and critical care for small animals and some exotic pets.
• Work with a four-DVM team to cover Wednesday/Thursday overnights and weekend day shifts.
• Collaborate with support staff to ensure high-quality emergency services.

We are a privately owned clinic dedicated to providing state of the art emergency & critical care for small animals & some exotic pets. We offer laser therapy, hospitalization, bloodwork (Abaxis blood machine), and most emergency surgeries.

We’re looking forRelief Veterinarianswho are compassionate, team players and strong communicators experienced in Emergency Medicine. We are looking for Wednesday and Thursday overnights (6PM-8AM or 4PM to Midnight) and Saturday and Sunday day shift (8AM-6PM).
