Job summary

Animal Emergency Center of Yorktown Virginia is seeking relief veterinarians to join our four DVM team for emergency and critical care. We operate as a privately owned clinic offering laser therapy, hospitalization, bloodwork, and emergency surgeries.

Shifts include Wednesday and Thursday overnights (6PM-8AM or 4PM-Midnight) and Saturday/Sunday days (8AM-6PM). Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, active license, and DEA/USDA credentials are preferred.

Qualifications

• Emergency medicine experience required or preferred.
• Compassionate team player with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to work overnight and weekend shifts as described in posting.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency and critical care to small animals and select exotics as part of an on-site team.
• Collaborate with DVM team to triage and manage urgent cases during overnight and weekend shifts.

We are a privately owned clinic dedicated to providing state of the art emergency & critical care for small animals & some exotic pets. We offer laser therapy, hospitalization, bloodwork (Abaxis blood machine), and most emergency surgeries.

We’re looking forRelief Veterinarianswho are compassionate, team players and strong communicators experienced in Emergency Medicine. We are looking for Wednesday and Thursday overnights (6PM-8AM or 4PM to Midnight) and Saturday and Sunday day shift (8AM-6PM).

• Doctor of Veterinary degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university
• Active veterinary state license
• Current DEA License preferred but not required
