Job summary

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is seeking a Relief Social Care Assistant for Harris House (3064). The role involves promoting inclusion for adults with support needs, with overnight support as needed, in various settings.

PPE must be worn and PVG membership is a legal requirement for regulated work with vulnerable adults. Applicants should have SVQ Level II in Care (or be able to achieve within 36 months after SSSC registration) and demonstrate strong listening, teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• SVQ Level II in Care or equivalent is required or achievable within 36 months after registration with the SSSC.
• Ability to listen effectively and communicate clearly and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Promote and support Adults with Support Needs to participate in local resources and facilities to maximise inclusion and independence.
• Support needs may include overnight care as necessary.
• Wear PPE as required and comply with safeguarding requirements.
