Job summary

The Opportunity Alliance seeks a Relief Residential Crisis Worker for the Broadway Crossings program in South Portland, ME. This per diem, on-site role provides trauma-informed, short-term stabilization services to adults in a home-like setting as an alternative to hospitalization.

You’ll support clients, participate in a multidisciplinary team, and help meet treatment plan goals. Requirements include a High School Diploma with related experience, MHRT1 certification within 1 year, immunization

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma with 5 years related experience required.
  • Associates degree in Behavioral Health or related field with 2 years relevant experience or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work preferred.
  • MHRT1 certification to be obtained within 1 year of employment; trainings provided.

Responsibilities

  • Provide listening support and identify client needs.
  • Assist clients in achievement of treatment plan goals.
  • Administer medication and conduct risk assessments.
  • Participate in milieu management and household organization.

# **Relief Residential Crisis Worker**Broadway Crossings Crisis Residential Program**Pay rate**: $22.00/hour**We provide all trainings to become MHRT-1 certified!**The Opportunity Alliance is seeking a **Relief** ****Re**sidential Crisis Worker (RCW)** to join the **Broadway Crossings** team. Broadway Crossings provides short-term, trauma-informed, stabilization services to adults experiencing a mental health or co-occurring crisis in a home like environment as an alternative to psychiatric hospitalization. As a Residential Crisis Worker, you will provide direct service to clients as part of a multi-disciplinary team by:* providing listening support* identifying needs* assisting clients in achievement of treatment plan goals* administering medication* administering risk assessment, milieu management, household organization* provide medical record documentation.### *“This role is required by the State of Maine to have proof of immunization or documented immunity against rubeola (measles), mumps, rubella (German measles), varicella (chicken pox), hepatitis B (optional), and influenza. Medical exemption may be accommodated with a written statement from a licensed medical professional. The Agency may assist with obtaining vaccines or proof of immunity if needed”.***Schedule****: Per Diem, as needed****Location****:** **Onsite in South Portland, ME****Qualifications**:* High School Diploma with 5 years related experience required. Associates degree in Behavioral Health or related field and 2 years of relevant experience or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or other relevant area preferred.* Must become certified as Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician 1 (MHRT1) within 1 year of employment (trainings provided); then maintain required trainings to uphold continuous MHRT1 status.* At least one year of experience in mental health field preferred.* Technical literacy, knowledge of DSM-V, solid oral and written communication, strong organizational skills.* Ability to work in a team environment.* Flexible schedule is required.* Computer efficiency is a requirement.* Must be able to able to successfully pass a criminal background, child protective service check & sex offender check.* Must not be on the state or federal suspension and disbarment list.* MHRT is required for position you must pass CNA registry check* Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and TB screen.* Must be able to exert moderate physical effort with occasional standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, typing and frequently lift and carry small children or material weighing up to 25 pounds.* Driving may be necessary to attend meetings and trainings and for the occasional need to meet with clients offsite and within the program service area.
