Job summary

Brookshire Brothers, Inc. is seeking a Relief Pharmacist FT to travel to assigned locations and oversee all pharmacy operations, including filling prescriptions and supervising the department staff to ensure the sale of prescribed and over-the-counter drugs.

A floater pharmacist must have reliable transportation and meet mileage reimbursement requirements; professional duties include MTM and immunizations where applicable, with OBRA 1990 compliance emphasized.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed pharmacist by the appropriate state board.
• Must meet all requirements mandated by the appropriate state boards of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescribed drugs, enter prescription data, train other personnel in the department, operate register for pharmacy sales, and all other duties as assigned by the director of pharmacy.
• Ensure an atmosphere of confidentiality in regards to pharmacy records, customer records and all other aspects of the department, and fully comply with OBRA 1990.
• Assist in various activities as directed by the general operation of the store as needed.
• Active participation in clinical initiatives, including MTM and immunizations, is required.
• Be open to training or certification in compounding and/or preceptorship if requested.
