Job summary

Price Chopper Supermarkets-Market 32 is seeking a licensed pharmacist to dispense medications accurately and counsel patients. You will manage daily pharmacy operations, maintain records, and cooperate with prescribers to optimize therapies.

You will lead a team of technicians, provide immunization services, MTM, and wellness programs, and participate in community outreach while ensuring regulatory compliance and high patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Licensed and registered Pharmacist in good standing within the state.
• Immunization Certification or agreement to complete.
• Ability to communicate effectively: verbal, written and electronic.

• Some overnight hotel stays required.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
• Demonstrate follow-through to achieve desired results and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and dispenses prescription medications, including maintenance of records, third party adjudication and patient charges, and inventory management.
• Counsels patients and medical providers regarding drugs, interactions, and side effects; monitors patient health and progress for therapy optimization.
• Participates in immunization, MTM, and wellness programs.
• Supervises personnel in daily operation of the pharmacy department and trains interns, technicians, and associates.
• Provides guidelines and training, monitors performance, and ensures regulatory compliance and company policies.
• Engages in business development activities in-store and community to improve patient outcomes.
• Contributes to continuous quality improvement programs to ensure patient safety.
• Maintains neat, clean, and organized workstation and department facilities.
