Job summary

Meijer is seeking a licensed pharmacist to join our pharmacy team in a role focused on safe prescription fulfillment, patient education, and clinical services including immunizations. You will maintain strong relationships with patients, staff, and leadership, while upholding Meijer policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• CPR certification.
• Retail/Community Practice.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results and strive to expand the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Comply with Meijer Policies and Procedures and state/federal laws.
• Communicate effectively and be an agent of change.
• Prioritize workload with excellent organization.
• Listen to patients and resolve needs (customer service).
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, oversee pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee clinical services including immunizations.

What You'll be Doing:

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Hold pharmacy technicians accountable for results in an appropriate and effective manner and have a vision to expand and grow the pharmacy business.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures, as well as state and federal laws.
• Effective communication skills and agent of change.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
• Listen to the patient and resolve patient’s needs, customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, will be responsible for the pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee (where allowed) clinical services including immunizations.
