Job summary

Meijer is seeking a pharmacist to join our team and advance patient care within our pharmacy. The role focuses on safe prescription filling, patient education, and maintaining strong relationships with patients and staff.

In this position, you will oversee pharmacy operations in the absence of the pharmacist in charge and guide immunization services, while complying with state and federal laws and Meijer policies. A PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy and active licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree or Doctorate of Pharmacy.
• Registered and licensed in the state of practice.
• Certified Immunization Pharmacist (except Indiana).
• CPR certification.
• Retail/Community Practice.

Responsibilities

• Fill prescriptions safely and accurately.
• Maintain positive relationships with patients, team members and leadership.
• Educate and mentor pharmacy technicians to be effective team members.
• Motivate team members to perform to their highest level.
• Competent and knowledgeable of Meijer Policies and Procedures, as well as state and federal laws.
• Effective communication skills and agent of change.
• Listen to the patient and resolve patient’s needs, customer service.
• In the absence of the pharmacist in charge, will be responsible for the pharmacy operations.
• Perform and oversee (where allowed) clinical services including immunizations.
