Our pharmacists make a real difference by leading high‑performing teams, raising standards, and delivering outstanding care to the communities we serve. To support you in your role, we provide innovative technology, a live pharmacy helpdesk, protected learning time, and access to a powerful network of pharmacy professionals across our stores and Support Centre.

About the Opportunity

As a Boots Pharmacist, you won’t just manage the safe supply of medicines; you’ll lead a business, inspire a team, and shape the future of pharmacy in your community. This role is perfect for those with a growth mindset and a passion for excellence. Whether it’s driving service delivery, championing clinical care, or building a motivated team, you’ll bring ambition, accountability, and the mindset of a pharmacy owner. You’ll thrive when given the opportunity to take ownership and run your pharmacy like it’s your own. Responsibilities
  • Lead the safe and effective running of the pharmacy and healthcare business while staying visible and accessible to patients and your team.
  • Take ownership of commercial and clinical performance, focusing on raising standards and delivering strong patient outcomes.
  • Deliver NHS, locally commissioned, and private services and embrace technology to enhance the patient experience.
  • Consistently monitor and evaluate pharmacy standards and safety to protect patients, customers, and team members.
  • Work in partnership with the Store Manager to develop the capability, confidence, and cohesion of the healthcare team.
  • Inspire and coach colleagues to grow in their roles, building a team culture based on performance, development, and shared ambition.
Requirements
  • Registration with the relevant pharmacy regulator (GPhC, PSNI, or PSI).
  • A growth mindset – always looking to improve, learn, and lead change.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to build trusted relationships with patients, your team, and local healthcare professionals.
  • Experience driving pharmacy performance and leading with a high standard of patient care.
  • A desire to deliver and champion essential, advanced, and private pharmacy services.
  • The confidence to own results, set a clear vision, and bring others along on the journey.
Benefits
  • Fully funded services training.
  • GPhC/PSNI/PSI fees reimbursed.
  • Indemnity insurance cover.
  • Discretionary annual bonus scheme.
  • CPD days and protected learning time.
  • Development opportunities to enhance your career.
  • Generous staff discount.
  • Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption leave pay.
  • Option to buy benefits including an additional 5 days holiday.
  • Boots retirement savings plan.
