Job summary

Quikrete is seeking a Relief Operator at the Harleyville, SC location to provide coverage for key roles including Production Technician, Quarry Operator, and Reclaim Operator. The role involves safely operating quarry equipment and coordinating with supervisors, customers, and drivers.

Candidates should have at least a high school diploma or GED and 1 year of industrial/mquick manufacturing experience, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of industrial, mechanical, or manufacturing experience.
• Equipment operation experience (loaders, dozer, excavator, haul trucks, etc.).
• Good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and inspect quarry equipment.
• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on crushing, conveying, packing, and shipping equipment.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, customers, and drivers.
• Operate equipment such as Skid Steer loaders, Front end loaders, Dozers, Excavators, Water Trucks, Fork Lifts, and Locomotives.
• Operate locomotive and load and move rail cars following standard operating procedures.
• Perform required PMs on packing and bulk shipping equipment to ensure equipment reliability.
