Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to provide relief support across Washington hospitals. Part-time role with 3-5 shifts per week, 8–12 hour shifts, and the flexibility to design your own schedule.

You will gain exposure to a wide range of cases and specialties while supporting veterinarians, mentoring teammates, and maintaining medical records. Compensation ranges from $38–$41 per hour depending on credentials and location.

Qualifications

• LVT-Licensed Veterinary Technician-REQUIRED
• Emergency and Specialty Experience in addition to General Practice
• Possible overnight availability
• Reliable transportation
• Schedule flexibility
• Availability for 3-5 shifts per week-shifts range from 8-12 hours
• Prior experience with training and mentorship

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
• Provide training and mentorship to team members.
• Assist in maintaining medical records with accurate health history.
• Readies patients for discharge and communicates discharge instructions.
• Support and perform general anesthesia and assist in surgery and sedation procedures.
• Use a fear-free approach to handling patients and ensure safety.
• Handle in-patient and out-patient diagnostics and treatments as directed.
• Use safe restraining techniques and keep treatment areas clean and organized.
• Collaborate with team members to provide seamless care.
