Job summary

Hope Haven, Inc. seeks a part-time Laundry Driver in Charlotte, NC to pickup and deliver laundry items on a Monday–Saturday schedule from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The role includes occasional overlap coverage for the Laundry Manager and oversight of daily operations.

Qualifications include a valid driver’s license, reliable attendance, and experience in driving or delivery. The position offers weekday hours with potential additional shifts during absences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Experience in driving, delivery, laundry, or hospitality services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a company van or box truck to pick up and deliver laundry items on assigned routes, Monday through Saturday, 4-5 days per week.
• Load, unload, and transport laundry bags/bins safely and efficiently, verifying item counts against manifests or tickets.
• Obtain proper signatures or confirmations at each pickup and delivery stop and maintain accurate delivery logs.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections; report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Follow all applicable traffic laws and Hope Haven vehicle safety policies.
• Represent Hope Haven professionally, providing courteous and reliable service to clients and partner sites.
• Serve as the point of contact for the laundry department during the Laundry Manager's absence; Oversee day-to-day laundry operations, scheduling, and supplies; Coordinate staff schedules; Monitor supplies; Address questions; Brief the Manager on issues upon return.
