Job summary

Knight Feed Lot in Lyons, KS is seeking a dependable feed truck driver to deliver feed to animals from the Lyons yard. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 1–3 months of related experience preferred. Candidate must pass post-offer employment testing and adhere to safety and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Ability: Read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Print and speak simple sentences.
• Math Ability: Add and subtract two digit numbers; multiply and divide with 10's and 100's; use units of American weight, volume and distance.
• Reasoning Ability: Follow simple written or oral instructions; handle problems with a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Drive feed truck to deliver feed to animals efficiently and on time.
• Use feed delivery software to ensure proper rations and bunk loads.
• Load trucks to specified sizes and operate front end loader to load ingredients.
• Deliver feed to bunks evenly and report repairs or maintenance needs.
• Maintain housekeeping and comply with OSHA/safety procedures.
