Job summary

Bainbridge Adult Day Care Center is seeking a compassionate and reliable driver to transport participants between their homes and the Adult Day Health Care Program. This role ensures safe, timely travel and supports participants’ independence throughout the day.

Responsibilities include driving clients, maintaining schedules, ensuring vehicle safety, coordinating with staff, complying with safety rules, and logging daily activities. A valid NY license and related experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Valid and clean New York State driver’s license.
  • Passenger endorsement is a plus.
  • Experience in healthcare or eldercare transportation is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction.
  • Ability to assist clients with mobility, including boarding/alighting.

Responsibilities

  • Client Transportation: Safely pick up clients from residences, transport to and from the program.
  • Schedule Adherence: Maintain punctuality for timely arrivals and returns.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine checks to ensure vehicle cleanliness and readiness.
  • Communication: Liaise with program coordinators about schedule changes.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to traffic laws and company policies for client safety.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain logs of routes, attendance, and incidents.
