Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a technical field and 1+ year of maintenance planning/scheduling experience; or 3+ years as a machine repair technician.
• Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Electrical and mechanical aptitude.
• Computer fluency with maintenance systems and Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build and maintain positive, professional relationships.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with supervisors and Crew Leads to validate and prioritize new work requests.
• Screen non-emergency requests, define scope, and walk the job site to capture constraints and requirements.
• Estimate labor hours and skill sets; identify parts, materials, and tools for safe execution.
• Compile technical references from drawings, schematics, specs, and OEM manuals.
• Confirm parts availability and arrange special tools or equipment as needed.
• Maintain a ready backlog sized to four weeks of crew capacity.
• Lead weekly scheduling meetings to set priorities and adjust plans.
• Publish a weekly technician schedule that loads labor hours with high-value work.
• Improve reusable Job Plans and train site personnel on CMMS.
• Own accuracy of equipment data and Bills of Materials in CMMS.

Shape world-class maintenance planningStep into a role where safety and precision lead the way. As our Reliability Work Management Planner, you will champion the ATS Beyond Zero Safety culture while owning site-level Work Execution Management. Your work ensures the right jobs are clearly defined, resourced, and scheduled so technicians can execute safely and efficiently.A day in the roleStart each day syncing with supervisors and Crew Leads to validate and prioritize new work requests.Screen non-emergency requests, define scope, and walk the job site to capture constraints and requirements.Estimate labor hours and skill sets, identify parts, materials, equipment, and any special tools needed for safe, efficient execution.Compile technical references—drawings, schematics, specs, spare parts lists—from equipment histories, OEM manuals, and the Knowledgebase.Confirm parts availability before placing work on the schedule; arrange special tools or auxiliary equipment as needed.Maintain a planned, ready-to-execute backlog sized to a minimum of four weeks of crew capacity.Lead weekly scheduling meetings with production to set priorities, share status, and adjust planned maintenance when conditions change.Publish a weekly technician schedule that fully loads available labor hours with the highest-value planned work.Continuously improve reusable Job Plans by capturing technician feedback and updating standards.Train site personnel on the CMMS, drive proper utilization, and safeguard data integrity.Own the accuracy of equipment data and Bills of Materials within the CMMS.Qualifications (Essential KSAs)Associate degree in a technical field and 1+ year of maintenance planning/scheduling experience; and/or 3+ years as a machine repair technician; or an equivalent combination.Experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.Demonstrated electrical and mechanical aptitude.Computer fluency with maintenance systems and Microsoft Office.Strong verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.Ability to build and maintain positive, professional relationships.Preferred (Desirable KSAs)Motivation to develop leadership capabilities.Background in job plan development, job scheduling, and work execution management.Project management experience; exposure to capital projects preferred.Certifications: CMRP, Green Belt, STS.Core CompetenciesSafety LeadershipDrive & MotivationInterpersonal SkillsTask ManagementStrategic SkillsCustomer FocusPhysical Demands and Working ConditionsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear.
