Job summary

SGS in Mountain View, CA is seeking a Reliability Test Engineer to execute environmental and mechanical reliability tests, operate and maintain thermal chambers, and document results across product development. BS in engineering required; SolidWorks and Instron experience a plus.

Salary $85,000–$90,000 with comprehensive benefits. Starting compensation is based on experience, with relocation at applicant's expense.

Qualifications

Experience executing reliability testing procedures (environmental, mechanical, and certification)
Set up, operate, and maintain test equipment and thermal chambers
Experience collecting, analyzing, and reporting data using spreadsheets, charts, and presentation materials

Responsibilities

Execute established reliability test procedures, including environmental, mechanical, and certification testing
Set up, operate, and maintain test equipment and thermal chambers for temperature and humidity testing
Document test setups and results with clear photographic evidence
Collect, analyze, and report results using spreadsheets, charts, and presentation slides
Track and communicate testing progress in a timely manner
Support multiple tests and products across the development lifecycle
Ensure safe operation of all test setups and proper use of trained lab equipment
