Whether you’ve got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you’re looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.

What this job involves:

As a Reliability Technician at JLL, you'll be instrumental in maintaining the continuous, compliant operation of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment and systems. Working within a client facility, you'll conduct routine inspections, execute preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot complex equipment issues to ensure manufacturing reliability and regulatory compliance. This role requires you to collaborate across production, engineering, and quality teams while adhering to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and safety regulations. At JLL, we are collectively shaping a brighter way — for our clients, ourselves and our fellow employees — and your technical expertise will directly contribute to operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives. You'll utilize computerized maintenance management systems to document activities, analyze performance data, and implement reliability-centered strategies that keep critical pharmaceutical manufacturing processes running smoothly and safely.

What your day-to-day will look like:
  • Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment including compressors, pumps, fillers, HVAC systems, generators, and packaging machinery
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions using root cause analysis techniques, diagnosing issues efficiently and implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime
  • Document all maintenance activities, work orders, inspections, and inventory transactions accurately within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve maintenance issues quickly, ensuring minimal impact on production schedules and quality standards
  • Monitor equipment performance metrics and analyze data to identify improvement opportunities and proactively prevent failures
  • Execute equipment calibration, cleaning, lubrication, and routine checks according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Support equipment installations, modifications, and decommissioning projects while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain detailed equipment history records including work performed, spare parts utilized, and associated costs for reporting and analysis
  • Contribute to the development of maintenance procedures, training materials, and best practices that strengthen team capabilities and operational reliability
Required qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Proven experience as a reliability technician or maintenance technician within pharmaceutical manufacturing or similarly regulated industries
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment operation, maintenance requirements, and troubleshooting methodologies
  • Strong understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), standard operating procedures, and OSHA safety regulations
  • Proficiency with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and relevant software applications for documentation and tracking
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities with capacity to analyze complex technical issues and execute appropriate corrective actions
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Physical capability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and meet the physical demands of the role
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and convey technical information clearly to diverse stakeholders
Preferred qualifications:
  • Technical certifications or specialized training in pharmaceutical equipment maintenance, industrial maintenance, or related disciplines
  • Experience with reliability-centered maintenance strategies and predictive maintenance techniques
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
  • Knowledge of equipment automation systems, PLCs, and control systems used in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments
