Job summary

Sappi in Minnesota seeks a Reliability Superintendent to apply reliability principles to maintenance strategies for pulp and paper mill assets. The role involves reviewing failures, downtime reports, and histories to uncover recurring problems, and leading the implementation of PM and PDM, RCM, and RCA within safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or equivalent technical training and experience.
5+ years experience employing RCM and RCA methods.
Functional knowledge of vibration, infrared thermography, oil analysis, ultrasonic and motor current analysis.
Strong safety leadership.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement risk-based and reliability-centered maintenance strategies to support asset reliability.
Lead site predictive and preventive maintenance programs (e.g. vibration analysis, lubrication programs, ultrasonic and motor signature analysis).
Demonstrate proficient use of a CMMS (SAP experience a plus).
Provide technical support in reliability practices such as failure analysis and PM/PdM optimization.
Develop, report, and maintain Maintenance and Reliability KPI’s.
Team player able to work and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
Lead training to build individual and team capabilities.
