Job summary

Godshall & Godshall Personnel Consultants, Inc. seeks a Reliability Engineer in Gainesville, FL, to reduce downtime and strengthen maintenance programs. The role focuses on electrical/electronic systems, motors, VFDs, and instrumentation, supporting plant controls and field repairs.

The candidate should have a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or related field and 3+ years of reliability experience, plus hands-on PM program implementation and root cause analysis capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in a reliability engineering role.
• Experience implementing PM programs.
• Experience with root cause analysis for complex issues.

Responsibilities

• Reduce equipment downtime and boost productivity through reliability projects.
• Strengthen predictive and preventive maintenance best practices.
• Troubleshoot motors, VFDs, valves, actuators, and field instrumentation systems.
• Monitor and support plant control and automation system repairs.
• Participate in RCAs and compare failures against performance standards.
• Develop procedures, set expectations, audit work, and implement corrections.
• Collaborate on audits, safety, 5S, and continuous improvement activities.
• Support electrical and control installations and related construction projects.
• Provide technical help for complex electrical and instrumentation issues.
