Job summary
Anheuser-Busch is seeking an Utilities Reliability Manager for the Williamsburg Brewery to lead maintenance and reliability initiatives across powerhouse equipment and utilities systems. You will collaborate with engineering, maintenance technicians, and operators to maximize uptime and optimize maintenance costs.
The role emphasizes implementing maintenance best practices, RCProgram, and condition-based strategies, with focus on ammonia, boilers, CO2, water treatment, and automation systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical/industrial engineering or related technical discipline.
- 5+ years leading maintenance and reliability programs in industrial settings.
- Experience implementing maintenance best practices, RCM, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with utilities equipment, automation, controls, and industrial electrical systems.
- Experience coaching skilled trades in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical controls, PLCs, automation, and predictive maintenance.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with RCA experience.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with MS Office and CMMS.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Support the utilities operation in achieving KPIs for equipment reliability, efficiency, maintenance performance, and continuous improvement.
- Lead the implementation and standardization of maintenance best practices and reliability-centered maintenance processes across packaging assets.
- Serve as the site subject matter expert for equipment reliability, root cause failure analysis, and Six Sigma problem-solving methodologies.
- Develop and execute reliability strategies for Ammonia Refrigeration, Boilers and Steam, CO2, Water Treatment and distribution, Compressed Air, and related automation systems.
- Coordinate, prioritize, and deliver technical training programs for maintenance and operations personnel.
- Coach and mentor maintenance and operations teams to build reliability-focused capabilities and technical expertise.
- Ensure preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs are understood, executed, and improved.
- Partner with Engineering and Utilities on capital projects, upgrades, and lifecycle planning including ROI analyses.
- Maintain CMMS data, reporting, and user training.
- Monitor equipment performance trends, analyze reliability data, and drive corrective actions to eliminate losses and failures.
- Drive improvements in equipment effectiveness, asset utilization, and maintenance cost management.
- Own and manage departmental Maintenance ZBB and VIC budgets.

SALARY:$106,400 - $126,350

As the Utilities Reliability Manager at our Williamsburg Brewery, you will be responsible for the reliability, maintenance strategy, and continuous improvement of all powerhouse equipment and associated utilities systems. This position partners closely with Utilities Business Process Manager, Maintenance Technicians, Utilities Powerhouse Operators, and the Engineering team to develop and sustain reliability programs that maximize equipment uptime, improve system performance, and optimize maintenance costs across the Utilities operation.
- Support the utilities operation in achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to equipment reliability, equipment efficiency, maintenance performance, and continuous improvement.
- Lead the implementation and standardization of maintenance best practices and reliability-centered maintenance processes across packaging assets.
- Serve as the site subject matter expert for equipment reliability, root cause failure analysis, and Six Sigma problem-solving methodologies.
- Develop and execute reliability strategies for the Ammonia Refrigeration systems, Boilers and Steam supply, CO2 Collection / Liquefaction, Water Treatment and distribution, Compressed Air system, Residuals Effluent systems, High Voltage Switchgear and Motor Control centers, and associated automation systems.
- Support the coordination, prioritization, and delivery of technical training programs for maintenance and operations personnel.
- Actively coach and mentor maintenance and operations teams to build reliability-focused capabilities and technical expertise.
- Ensure preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs are understood, executed, and continuously improved.
- Partner with Engineering and Utilities on capital projects, equipment upgrades, and lifecycle planning, including development of business cases and return-on-investment analyses.
- Maintain and enhance the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate asset data, reporting, and user training.
- Monitor equipment performance trends, analyze reliability data, and drive corrective actions to eliminate E&F losses and system failures.
- Drive improvements in equipment effectiveness, asset utilization, and maintenance cost management.
- Own and manage departmental Maintenance ZBB and VIC budgets.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline preferred.
- 5+ years of experience leading maintenance and reliability programs within an industrial powerhouse, high-speed manufacturing, packaging, food and beverage, consumer products, or similar production environment.
- Demonstrated experience implementing maintenance best practices, reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience supporting utilities equipment and production services, including automation, controls, and industrial electrical systems.
- Experience coaching, developing, and training skilled trades in a unionized manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical controls, PLCs, automation, and predictive maintenance technologies.
- Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with experience conducting root cause analysis and developing business cases.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing, TPM, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
