Job summary

HNI Corporation is seeking a highly motivated Maintenance Engineer to apply a strong foundation in operational execution, systems utilization, and continuous improvement. The role focuses on reliability, preventive maintenance, and data-driven decision making within a fast-paced environment.

You will work with CMMS, PowerBI, and Excel to track, schedule, and optimize maintenance activities; conduct root-cause analyses; and collaborate with cross-functional teams to boost SQDC outcomes while

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or reliability engineering, OR industrial technology.
Hands-on experience with CMMS and Excel for scheduling, tracking, and data analysis.
Experience managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments.
Exposure to inventory management, invoices, or similar documentation.
Proven ability to follow structured processes and support day-to-day operations.

Responsibilities

Support preventative maintenance (PM) strategies to improve equipment reliability and performance.
Use CMMS, PowerBI, and Excel to track, schedule, and optimize activities with accuracy.
Assist in root cause analysis by identifying trends and contributing to corrective actions.
Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to manage priorities and scheduling.
Contribute to SQDC initiatives through data tracking and process improvements.
Build foundational knowledge of facility systems and infrastructure over time.
