First Solar, Inc. is looking for a Reliability Lab Technician to perform baseline and post-test measurements in the Reliability Lab, ensuring tests align with IEC 61215 procedures.

You will operate test equipment, analyze data, and assist in developing new testing setups while upholding safety and housekeeping standards. The role requires a technical degree or equivalent experience, basic tool and data analysis skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (Electrical preferred) or equivalent experience.
• Calibration/testing/measurement experience is an added advantage.
• Experience with electrical test and measurement equipment is desirable.
• Knowledge of JMP and SQL is a plus.
• Strong problem solving and data analysis abilities.
• Ability to operate forklifts and use basic tools.

Responsabilités

• Perform baseline and post-test measurements for reliability tests.
• Safely load and operate standard Reliability Stress Test equipment.
• Process warranty returns.
• Enter data for Reliability testing.
• Ensure tests run per schedule and report abnormalities.
• Train new technicians and lead in a specific area.
• Conduct audits of testing and equipment.
• Coordinate testing for customer audits.
• Follow safety and 5S practices.
• Assist other tasks as assigned.
• Understand IEC 61215 testing procedures.
• Identify durability defects and initiate failure analyses.
• Manage waste disposal per guidelines.
