Job summary

Akkodis seeks a Reliability Technician – Hardware Reliability Lab on-site in Greensboro, NC for a contract position. You will conduct electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and software-related reliability testing at component, assembly, and system levels, and help set up, calibrate, maintain, and improve test equipment and methods.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with strong technical background in product testing or lab environments.
• 3–5 years of related experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience with test setup, fixtures, testing, and data collection/reporting.
• Experience working with industrial products and testing.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to read and understand technical instructions.
• Experience writing test procedures and laboratory reports.
• Proficiency with MS Word and MS Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Set up and perform component, assembly, and system-level reliability testing.
• Document test procedures, results, and reliability evaluations.
• Troubleshoot test issues and identify corrective actions.
• Support test setup and execution to meet lab schedules.
• Provide timely feedback to engineering and lab management.
• Support development and sustainment of test methods.
• Improve test repeatability, automation, and overall lab efficiency.

• Participate in EH&S, 5S, and laboratory housekeeping requirements.
• Mentor junior technicians.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
• Collaborate with Reliability Engineering, Hardware & Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Quality & Operations, Software Quality Assurance, Regulatory, Project Management, and Environmental Health & Safety teams.

Akkodis is seeking a Reliability Technician – Hardware Reliability Lab Onsite Role in Greensboro NC, for a Contract Position in the United States.

Pay Range: $27-$31/hr. (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job Description:

We are looking for a Reliability Technician to support product reliability testing within a Hardware Reliability Lab. This role will perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and software-related testing at the component, assembly, and system levels. The position will also support test equipment setup, calibration, maintenance, and continuous lab development.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and perform component, assembly, and system-level reliability testing.
• Document test procedures, results, and reliability evaluations.
• Troubleshoot test issues and identify appropriate corrective actions.
• Support test setup and execution to meet lab schedules.
• Provide timely feedback to engineering and lab management.

Lab Maintenance & Continuous Improvement

• Support training and mentoring of junior technicians.
• Maintain compliance with applicable safety, quality, and environmental procedures.

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree with a strong technical background in product testing, development, or laboratory environments.
• 3–5 years of related experience preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with test setup, test fixtures, testing, and data collection/reporting.
• Experience working with industrial products and testing.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to read and understand technical instructions.
• Experience writing test procedures and laboratory reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with PLC programming.
• Experience with NI LabVIEW and DAQ devices.
• Experience with electronic and mechanical test instruments.
• Knowledge of test automation and data acquisition.
• Experience with reliability testing and product development.
