Job summary

Molex is seeking a Reliability Lab Manager in Rochester Hills, Michigan, to lead a team of engineers, supervisors, and technicians in reliability, environmental, mechanical, and electrical testing supporting product qualification and customer success.

You will drive safety, continuous improvement, and data‑driven insights across Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing, and Customer teams, shaping the future of laboratory testing capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 7+ years in reliability engineering, validation, testing, or product qualification environments.
• 3+ years leading technical teams, including supervisors and direct reports.
• Experience with automotive, industrial, electronics, connector or interconnect product qualification activities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop laboratory engineers, supervisors, and technicians to a high‑performing team.
• Drive safety, accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration and technical excellence.
• Provide strategic direction for laboratory operations, resource planning, and capability development.
• Manage laboratory performance through metrics for safety, quality, delivery, utilization, and financial results.
• Oversee reliability, environmental, vibration, shock, thermal, humidity, mechanical and life testing activities.
• Support product qualification, design validation, failure analysis and customer investigations.
• Provide technical leadership in reliability engineering and accelerated testing.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions for reliability concerns.
• Develop and execute laboratory strategy, capital plans, and long‑term roadmaps.
• Collaborate with global teams to align equipment, processes and best practices.
