Reliability Engineering Manager

A leading premium food manufacturer is seeking a Reliability Engineering Manager to lead reliability strategy, asset management, and maintenance improvement initiatives across a complex manufacturing operation.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an engineering professional passionate about equipment reliability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. The Reliability Engineering Manager will partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Leadership teams to improve equipment uptime, reduce downtime, optimize maintenance programs, and support long-term capital planning efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead site reliability strategy and reliability improvement programs
- Develop and enhance preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Drive Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and reliability-centered maintenance initiatives
- Establish and improve key reliability metrics including MTBF, MTTR, downtime, and maintenance costs
- Lead equipment reliability projects, asset management strategies, and capital improvement planning
- Support annual shutdown planning and major maintenance events
- Partner with OEMs, engineering teams, and vendors to improve equipment performance and eliminate recurring failures
- Drive adoption of advanced analytics, condition monitoring, and digital reliability tools
- Optimize spare parts inventory and critical asset management programs
- Present reliability performance and cost-savings initiatives to senior leadership
- Mentor maintenance technicians and engineers on reliability best practices
- Support TPM initiatives and continuous improvement efforts throughout the facility
- Lead cross-functional teams focused on operational excellence and equipment performance improvement
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- 7+ years of reliability engineering, maintenance engineering, or asset management experience within manufacturing
- Proven success driving uptime improvements, cost reductions, and reliability initiatives
- Strong experience with:
- CMMS platforms
- Reliability Engineering
- Predictive & Preventive Maintenance
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- TPM Methodologies
- Asset Management
- Capital Projects
- Experience working in a high-speed manufacturing environment
- Food, Beverage, Consumer Products, Packaging, or CPG manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) or CMRP certification preferred
- Experience working in unionized manufacturing environments is a plus
