Job summary

Amphenol Communications Solutions in Etters, PA is seeking a Reliability Engineering Lead to guide the reliability program for high-speed cable backplane products. You will shape test sequences, manage a team of engineers and technicians, and collaborate with Design, Test, Quality, and Manufacturing to ensure robust performance.

You will drive FMEA and HALT/HASS, define qualification strategies, track reliability metrics, and present findings to customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or materials science fields.
• 5+ years reliability or 10+ years quality engineering experience with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Knowledge of reliability prediction models and field return data analysis.
• Experience with data analysis software such as MS Excel or Minitab.
• Experience developing test plans for mechanical and environmental stresses of high-speed electrical connectors.
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical people.

Responsibilities

• Guide team on developing test sequences to determine long-term reliability of cable and connector assemblies.
• Oversee and mentor engineering team; provide training and growth within the organization.
• Lead reliability test plans for new product introduction and engineering changes.
• Define product qualification strategies aligned with application requirements and customer expectations.
• Drive failure mode analysis (FMEA), DfR, and HALT/HASS to improve product robustness.
• Prepare and present technical reports to stakeholders; interface with customers.
