IKO Industries Ltd. seeks a Reliability Engineering Intern for Spring 2027 in Sumas, WA. Local to Washington State preferred.

You will work with Reliability Engineers to support CMMS, maintenance planning, spare parts optimization, and asset documentation, gaining hands-on experience at a leading roofing materials manufacturer. The role emphasizes data collection, asset standardization, and cross-functional collaboration with Production and Maintenance teams, with opportunities to learn SAP CMMS

Qualifications

• Junior or Senior specializing in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Chemical Engineering - Required.
• Proficiency in Excel (Look ups, Pivot Tables)
• Experience with AutoCAD is an asset
• Critical thinking skills, and high degree of organization are a must
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)

Responsibilities

• Work with Production and Maintenance to develop Asset Hierarchy List, Document Navigation Accelerator (DNA), Inventory List, Spare Part List, Job Plans and Preventive Maintenance for CMMS.
• Facilitate CMMS implementation in Work Order Management, Preventive Maintenance, Condition Monitoring, Inventory Management and Procurement.
• Standardize and build spare parts lists by reviewing drawings and documentation, field walks, and vendor input.
• Perform data collection and analysis within Prodac and CMMS, interpreting trends of critical equipment.
• Assist in Spare Parts optimization to support PM and PdM tasks for Highly Critical Assets.
• Add assembly drawings and P&IDs to the DNA system.
• Create/Review drawings and field labels to standardize asset naming.
• Document asset information updates in drawings.
• Suggest efficient ways to sort and classify stock items.
• Assist in building reliability and maintenance reports and dashboards.
• Develop and update SOPs, WI, training videos.
