Job summary

Univstainless in Dunkirk, NY is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Reliability Program. You will identify and manage reliability improvements to steel producing equipment and facilities, minimizing downtime and promoting operational efficiency through predictive and preventive maintenance.

The role reports to the Preventative Maintenance Engineer and involves three locations, with occasional travel to benchmark practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years heavy industrial or manufacturing experience, steel preferred.
• Reliability-centered maintenance experience is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting and data analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Access CMMS data (Maximo) to gather equipment information.
• Analyze data to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
• Lead or participate in RCA, FMEA and criticality assessments.
• Provide technical guidance and support plant personnel on failures.
• Collaborate with Engineering to ensure reliability of new/modified installations.
• Travel to other USAP sites to benchmark and share best practices.
