Job summary

PCA, a Fortune 500 packaging company, seeks a maintenance engineer to provide engineering services to the maintenance and operating teams, drive equipment reliability, and maintain safe work practices in our mill.

The candidate should have a BS in mechanical engineering with 2–3 years in industrial manufacturing (pulp and paper preferred), strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work any shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical engineering with 2–3 years' industrial manufacturing experience.
• Experience in pulp and paper preferred.
• Strong organizational and detail skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering services to maintenance and operating personnel to resolve maintenance, technical, and equipment reliability issues.
• Establish and maintain safe work practices and environment.
• Schedule and supervise mill and contract workers.
• Evaluate performance of hourly personnel under supervision.
• Maintain equipment files and databases.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance procedures.
• Collaborate with peers to maintain equipment and meet uptime goals.
