Job summary
Stepan Company in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Reliability Engineer to lead asset reliability, mechanical integrity, and continuous improvement across the site. You will partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, EHS, and Site Leadership to drive reliability initiatives and optimize lifecycle costs.
In this role you will influence reliability strategy, support capital projects from concept through startup, and serve as a technical leader for operations and maintenance teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical or related engineering discipline.
- Experience in reliability, maintenance, asset integrity, or manufacturing engineering.
- Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
- Strong communication, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead reliability and mechanical integrity initiatives that improve equipment performance and asset availability.
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and EHS to identify and eliminate losses.
- Facilitate root cause investigations and drive sustainable corrective actions.
- Develop, implement, and improve predictive and preventive maintenance strategies.
- Support capital projects from concept through startup with reliability considerations.
- Serve as a technical leader for operating, maintenance, and engineering personnel.
