Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation in Findlay, Ohio, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support reliability of rotating and fixed equipment across assigned area teams. You will apply reliability analytics, life cycle cost analysis, and prepare project justifications.

This full-time role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and the ability to write PRFs, champion Management of Change, and ensure OEM specifications are met while advising on monitoring plans and control limits.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provides technical assistance/troubleshooting assistance in resolving equipment design, operation, and maintenance problems for all rotating and/or fixed equipment located within all assigned area teams; contacts internal and external experts as required.
• Utilizes reliability tools such as reliability analytics, failure evaluations, and cost analysis to improve reliability of rotating and/or fixed equipment systems.
• Writes Project Request Forms (PRFs) for reliability improvement projects, equipment upgrades, etc. Including financial justification (life cycle cost analysis) and assists in Decision Support Package (DSP) development.
• Champions Management of Change (MOC) as appropriate for the work scope.
• Helps establish equipment monitoring plans and control limits.
• Ensures equipment repairs meet or exceed Original Manufacturer (OEM) specifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Zero (0) years or more of experience required.
