Job summary

Exowatt is hiring a Reliability Engineer to own the long-term dependability of the P3 system in the field. The role is based at our Austin, TX facility, and relocation is required with relocation assistance provided if needed.

You will design and execute accelerated life testing, lead FMEA/RCM studies, analyze field data, and collaborate across engineering and operations to ensure reliability targets are met for high-temperature, long-duration operation in AI infrastructure deployments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or related engineering field.
• 5+ years of reliability engineering experience with electromechanical or thermal hardware.
• Experience designing ALT, HALT, HASS tests for electromechanical/thermal hardware.
• Proficiency with FMEA, FTA, RBD, FRACAS, and RCM methods.
• Strong statistical foundation in Weibull analysis and life data analysis.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics; strong technical writing.
• Willingness to travel to test sites and customer deployments.

Responsibilities

• Define reliability requirements, targets, and budgets for P3 hardware.
• Design and execute ALT, HALT, and HASS tests for durability.
• Lead FMEA and RCM studies with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze field failure data and warranty returns to identify failures.
• Own the FRACAS process with design and manufacturing partners.
• Collaborate on reliability-by-design: derating, thermal margin, materials.
• Build reliability models and support availability analysis.
• Define and track reliability KPIs and report to leadership.
• Partner with Quality Engineering to link supplier data to field outcomes.
