Job summary

TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc. in Anderson, SC is seeking a Reliability Engineer to apply reliability principles to development and qualification of power tool products.

You will use multiple analysis methods to determine risks and define requirements for disruptive consumer products. The role emphasizes collaboration across product management, engineering, and marketing, with focus on data-driven decisions, manufacturing input, and post-launch support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related) with 2-5 years of experience in product development, reliability, test, or quality roles.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills and sound statistical application (DOE, sampling, regression, reliability, FMEAs, hypothesis testing).
• Experience with life data analysis, reliability distributions, statistical analysis, and ReliaSoft/Minitab.
• Experience with manufacturing auditing and processes.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Be SME in new product development with respect to product requirements, user needs, and reliability.
• Develop functional requirements from collaboration with product management.
• Collaborate with engineering and marketing to define product specifications for reliability and quality.
• Work with global manufacturing to identify and mitigate project risks early in a project.
• Interact with global suppliers involved in product development.
• Track multiple projects to ensure adherence to schedule and PD Process.
• Summarize test results with statistical techniques and present concise conclusions.
• Escalate issues to leadership with clear communication.
• Support projects through launch and post-launch findings.
