Job summary

DISHER Corp. is seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer for a 2-year onsite project in Portage, MI, supporting a medical device customer team.

The role focuses on reliability of copied assets, uptime/downtime analysis, spare parts strategy, and implementing an RCM system to drive near-continuous operation. The ideal candidate has proven reliability engineering experience across relevant industries, with strong metrics and analytics skills and the ability to stand up or mature a reliability

Job description

DISHER is seeking an experienced Reliability Engineer to support a 2-year project onsite in Portage Mi, with our medical device customer team. This Engineer will be responsible for reliability of copied assets from an existing line, building the discipline from scratch conducting uptime/downtime analysis filtering across the building, driving spare parts strategy, validating current uptime/downtime metrics, and implementing an RCM system.

• Lead reliability of the copied assets (not new design).
• Build uptime/downtime analysis filtering across the building.

• Prior experience in reliability engineering from automotive, consumer packaged goods, food and beverage, medical device, or heavy equipment industry.
• Expertise and a depth of knowledge across reliability engineering.
• Proven reliability engineering track record: uptime/OEE improvement, downtime analysis, spare parts strategy, RCM methodology, etc.
• Experience standing up or maturing a reliability function, not just maintaining one.
• Must be self-directed and able to work efficiently.
• Strong metrics and analytics skills being able to define, track, and drive behavior with the right reliability measures.
• Background with automated production equipment (weld cells, assembly automation) is a plus.
