Job description

Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Reliability Engineer to work remotely in the midwest!

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, Sedron Technologies designs, manufactures, installs, and operates advanced water and waste upcycling technologies. With a focus on transforming the paradigm from waste processing to resource recovery, Sedron Technologies works with municipal, agricultural, and industrial customers to process their "waste" into climate-smart commodities through environmentally and financially sustainable methods.

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for driving equipment reliability and performance improvements across all facilities. This role focuses on predictive maintenance, root cause failure analysis, and continuous improvement programs to optimize asset longevity, reduce downtime, and enhance overall operational efficiency. Additionally, the Reliability Engineer will establish equipment criticality rankings to prioritize maintenance efforts effectively.

Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:
• Develop and lead predictive maintenance strategies using technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, ultrasound, and oil analysis
• Conduct root cause failure analyses (RCFA) to eliminate recurring issues and improve asset performance
• Establish and maintain equipment criticality rankings to guide maintenance prioritization and risk management
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to optimize preventive maintenance procedures based on data and field performance
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, uptime, and operational efficiency
• Utilize data analytics to identify trends, detect failure patterns, and uncover opportunities for reliability gains
• Implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) practices across facilities and ensure alignment with operational goals
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate program effectiveness and guide strategic decisions
• Provide technical training and support to engineering and maintenance staff on reliability tools and methodologies
• Assist in capital planning and equipment selection by analyzing lifecycle costs and reliability metrics
• Partner with engineering and production teams to integrate reliability-focused improvements into system design and upgrades
• Standardize equipment specifications and practices across sites to ensure consistency, maintainability, and cost efficiency
• Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers to procure reliable, cost-effective equipment that meets operational requirements
• Research and implement emerging technologies, materials, and processes that extend equipment life and performance
• Communicate and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams of technicians, engineers, and operators
• Demonstrate initiative and problem-solving drive, bringing energy and excitement to technically challenging work
• Maintain reliable attendance, arriving on time and ready to contribute
• Take ownership of additional duties as needed to support Company goals
• Perform other related duties as assigned

This position has multiple levels of competency to be determined by performance, certifications, and supervisor discretion.
