We are looking for a Reliability Engineer to support reliability, safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement across site operations. This role will work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to identify opportunities, solve complex problems, improve equipment reliability, and support site projects.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Reliability Engineering principles, statistical analysis, equipment performance, and condition monitoring, along with a commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.
What You’ll Do
- Review, investigate, and develop recommendations for assigned Reliability Engineering projects.
- Utilize new technologies and engineering practices to continuously improve site safety, operational efficiency, cost controls, quality, and environmental performance.
- Partner with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to identify and resolve reliability and operational challenges.
- Coordinate project activities with Operations and Maintenance to improve equipment availability, reliability, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate technical documentation for assigned projects.
- Participate in small- to medium-sized construction, expansion, and site modification projects.
- Administer vendor contracts related to engineering services, equipment, and project activities.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance, maintenance strategies, and overall asset reliability.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and perform other duties as required.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline with 3+ years of relevant engineering experience, OR
- Master’s degree in Engineering or a related discipline with 2+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Knowledge of probability and statistical analysis.
- Understanding of Reliability Engineering principles and practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research complex information and draw sound conclusions.
- Strong understanding of workplace safety practices, occupational hazards, and safety precautions.
- Ability to identify hazards and consistently follow established safety procedures.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) certification.
- Experience with crushing and conveying systems.
- Experience working with mobile equipment.
- Knowledge of condition monitoring technologies, including:
- Vibration analysis
- Lubrication/oil analysis
- Thermography
- Ultrasonic testing
- Experience with electrical systems in an industrial environment.
- Experience performing:
- Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)
- Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA)
- Asset criticality assessments
