Job summary

Ambs Chemical Search LLC is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 4+ years in chemical plant reliability, focusing on rotating equipment. You will own reliability programs, report to a Corporate Director of Reliability, and not be part of the daily maintenance organization.

Qualifications

• BS ME with at least 4+ years of chemical plant experience focusing on rotating equipment.
• Owner of reliability programs reporting to Corporate Director of Reliability, not part of daily maintenance.
• Exposure to RCFA, vibration, infrared and ultrasonic testing programs.

Responsibilities

• Improve the performance of rotating equipment (80%) and fixed equipment (20%).
• Troubleshoot and conduct RCFA.
• Manage vibration analysis, infrared and ultrasonic testing programs.
• Drive reliability improvements across two chemical plant sites.
• Implement and manage Pred/Preventive Maintenance for rotating equipment.
• Evaluate integrity and failure modes and build repair or replace plans.
• Manage the Bad Actor list and Equipment Replacement Plan.
• Use reliability analytics to analyze trends and build models.

You will have ownership of the reliability programs and will report to a Corporate Director of Reliability rather than a Site Maintenance Manager. This role is not part of the daily maintenance organization.
