Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
  • 3-5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in an aseptic beverage manufacturing facility preferred but not required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with industrial equipment systems.
  • Proficient with CAD software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and develops ownership of asset reliability outcomes, including equipment uptime and elimination of repeat failures.
  • Contributes to the development and continuous improvement of PM programs, CMMS data integrity, and maintenance strategies.
  • Works cross-functionally to drive sustainable performance improvements across Maintenance, Engineering, and Production.
  • Supports and helps ensure installation and commissioning activities align with reliability standards and long-term asset performance objectives.
  • Participates in structured root cause analyses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and sustained.
  • Supports capital and continuous improvement projects aligned with reliability objectives.
  • Ensures process parameters comply with USDA and FDA requirements.
  • Analyzes equipment performance data to optimize reliability, utilization, efficiency, and asset lifecycle.
  • Develops PM plans, SOPs, equipment standards, and other reliability-related documentation.
  • Maintains knowledge of GMPs and regulatory requirements.

Role Impact:

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for improving equipment reliability, asset performance, and operational uptime across the plant. By analyzing data, identifying root causes, and implementing sustainable solutions, this role reduces repeat failures and supports the achievement of production targets.

Partnering closely with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering, the Reliability Engineer drives continuous improvement efforts, aligns reliability priorities, and uses performance data to strengthen decision-making and long-term asset health.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Supports and develops ownership of asset reliability outcomes, including equipment uptime and elimination of repeat failures.
  • Contributes to the development and continuous improvement of PM programs, CMMS data integrity, and maintenance strategies.
  • Works cross-functionally to drive sustainable performance improvements across Maintenance, Engineering, and Production.

  • Participates in and leads, as appropriate, structured root cause analyses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented and sustained to prevent recurrence.
  • Supports execution of capital and continuous improvement projects, ensuring alignment with reliability objectives and long-term asset performance.
  • Ensures process parameters and operational conditions comply with USDA and FDA requirements.
  • Contributes to data-driven improvement initiatives by analyzing equipment performance data to optimize reliability, utilization, efficiency, and asset lifecycle.
  • Develops subject matter expertise for assigned equipment, providing technical support and driving reliability improvements.
  • Develops and maintains PM plans, SOPs, equipment standards, and other reliability-related documentation.
  • Reviews and maintains validation and change control documentation.
  • Maintains working knowledge of GMPs and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Partners with Maintenance, Engineering, Production, and Quality to improve asset reliability and operational performance.
  • Supports troubleshooting and process scale-up activities, ensuring issues are resolved and lessons learned are captured.
  • Participates in process investigations and product impact assessments, ensuring root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.
  • Contributes to the identification and justification of capital projects that support reliability and performance objectives.
  • Follows all food safety requirements and standards.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering preferred.

Experience & Skills

  • 3-5 years of engineering experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience in an aseptic beverage manufacturing facility preferred but not required.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial equipment systems.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical systems, including valves, motors, gearboxes, piping systems, boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, and related equipment.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, process, and automation systems, enabling effective participation in troubleshooting and reliability improvement efforts.
  • Experience supporting the commissioning and startup of manufacturing equipment or facilities preferred.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles and reliability methodologies.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of construction safety and facility operations.
  • Proficient in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient with CAD software.

P hysical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to15 pounds at times .
  • Must be able to work with equipment that contains electromagnetic components.
