Job summary

TAD PGS, Inc. is seeking a Reliability & Systems Safety Engineer to support reliability and safety analyses across a diverse aerospace and defense product portfolio.

This contract role offers exposure to critical programs and collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams. The position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance and a background in mechanical or aerospace engineering with several years of reliability/safety experience.

Qualifications

• Active Secret Security Clearance required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 4+ years of Reliability and Systems Safety experience or 8+ years in lieu of a degree.
• Strong technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reliability and safety analyses (FMECA, reliability predictions).
• Perform Probabilistic Risk Assessments and Fault Tree Analyses.
• Design and execute reliability test plans and analyze results.
• Identify and recommend improvements to product reliability and safety.
• Ensure compliance with Reliability and System Safety processes and standards.
• Collaborate with engineering and programs teams to integrate reliability principles throughout the lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reliability and safety analyses, including FMECA, reliability predictions, subsystem hazard analyses, and range safety assessments.


• Perform Probabilistic Risk Assessments and Fault Tree Analyses.


• Design and execute reliability test plans and analyze test results.


• Identify and recommend improvements to product reliability and safety.


• Ensure compliance with Reliability and System Safety processes and standards.


• Collaborate with engineering and programs teams to integrate reliability principles throughout the product lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.


• Minimum of 4 years of Reliability and Systems Safety experience.


• Strong technical communication skills.


• Active Secret Security Clearance.


• In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of directly related experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a related field.


• Aerospace or defense industry experience.


• Knowledge of MIL-STD-882E.


• Formal coursework in Reliability Engineering.


• Experience with or knowledge of solid rocket motor systems.
