Job summary

Carlex Glass America, LLC is seeking a maintenance engineer to lead root cause analysis, develop reliability methods, and drive preventive maintenance programs. The role emphasizes proactive leadership in maintaining equipment performance and quality output.

The candidate will monitor downtime trends, implement corrective actions, and contribute to daily continuous improvement activities aligned with productivity goals.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree with relevant education required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant technical field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead root cause analysis of failures and drive corrective actions.
  • Develop analysis methods for determining reliability of components/equipment.
  • Monitor PM programs; identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide leadership to cultivate a proactive maintenance service department.
  • Use downtime data to identify trends and address premature failures.
  • Design and implement equipment changes to improve reliability, productivity, efficiency and yield.
  • Attend daily meetings to drive continuous improvement and productivity goals.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Lead root cause analysis of failures and drive implementation of corrective actions
  • Originate, develop, and facilitate analysis methods for determining the reliability of components and equipment
  • Monitor the execution and effectiveness of the PM programs, identify any deficiencies, and implement corrective actions as necessary
  • Provide leadership and technical support to cultivate a proactive maintenance service department
  • Utilize the equipment downtime database to identify trends and premature failure issues, and implement corrective actions to address and track progress
  • Design, develop, and implement equipment changes that will correct reliability, improve productivity, improve efficiencies, and increase quality product yield
  • Attend daily meetings to drive immediate continuous improvement and compliance to productivity goals
REQUIREMENTS
Education
  • Associate degree with relevant education required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or relevant technical field preferred
