Job summary

L&T Technology Services in the United States is seeking an experienced Reliability Development Test Engineer for automotive validation programs. You will deliver sub-system or full-vehicle computational and testing results at each stage, develop countermeasure plans, and work with cross-functional teams to meet strength and durability targets.

You will plan, prepare, and coordinate reliability tests and simulations, arrange facilities, and document development data for leadership review.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Experience in data analysis and communicating complex information to engineering management.
• Experience with CAD/FEA software such as CATIA, SolidWorks, Abaqus, Nastran, HyperMesh, Ansa, LS-DYNA.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and coordinate various aspects of reliability tests and simulations.
• Physically support tests and confirm test setups are correct and executed as intended.
• Prepare moderately complex documentation for leadership review of development/testing information.
• Help coordinate root cause analysis, countermeasure activities, and improvement initiatives with leadership.
• Deliver subsystem or full-vehicle computational and testing results at every stage of automotive development projects.

Job description

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Experience in data analysis and communication of complex information to engineering management is desired.
• Experience with following software or similar is desired
• 3D CAD surface modeling CATIA or SolidWorks
• Data acquisition software
• FEA Software Abaqus, Nastran, Hypermesh, Ansa, Meta, LS-DYNA
• Scripting in Java, Python, MATLAB
• Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and concerns,
• Produce and analyze engineering data using pre-set tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently
• Responsible for planning, preparing, and coordinating various aspects of Reliability tests and/or simulations including arrangement of facilities, requesting support, and acquiring the necessary parts and materials.
• Physically support tests including confirmation that test setups are correct and that test plans are understood and executed to intent.
• Prepare moderately complex documentation for review by technical leadership to record and submit all necessary development / testing / research information per the determined schedule.
• Help coordinate and execute root cause analysis, countermeasure activities, and improvement initiatives to technical leadership., Reliability Development Test Engineers are responsible for validating the vehicle, systems, and sub-systems to meet strength and durability targets with a goal of meeting or exceeding customer expectations.
• You will be in charge of delivering sub-system or full vehicle computational and testing results at every stage of the automotive development project(s). When performance concerns arise during validation testing, you will be responsible for developing appropriate countermeasure plans and work closely with cross-functional departments for implementation of plan.
