Reliability and Maintenance Leader AMAS

POSITION IN THE ORGANIZATION CHART

  • Reporting to Corporate Reliability Manager.
  • Serves as Bostik SME for Maintenance and Reliability best practices and expertise.
  • Leads the implementation of MOE & Reliability Improvements across the Bostik BU.
  • Responsible for leadership and development of programs that educate manufacturing teams in maintenance and reliability related subjects.

SCOPE

  • Maintenance / Reliability Leader shall work collaboratively with the Maintenance Mgrs, Reliability Mgrs, Reliability Engineers, at our sites across the Americas with the goal of decreasing Cost of Unplanned Events (CUE), increasing Plant Reliability (PR), Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Maintenance / Reliability Leader will be seen as a mentor/resource by plant Maintenance/Reliability Managers.

This will include significant interaction (plant visits, etc.) with AMAS sites.

  • This position will work closely with the AMAS region Senior Reliability Leader in maintaining consistent practices and metrics and share resources/support across all Arkema and Bostik sites.
  • Frequent interaction and coordination with Arkema SME and the other regions required as a member of the Global MOE (Maintenance Operational Excellence) Team.

ACTIVITY

  • Maintenance/Reliability Leader will interact routinely with the Maintenance/Reliability Managers at all of the AMAS Plants in establishing direction for continuous improvement opportunities; developing best practices and propagating those BP’s at appropriate sites; will develop/identify training modules for the key positions within our Plants’ Maintenance Depts.
  • Shall work closely with the Maintenance BPO on building consistency at our plants in the utilization of the CMMS’s and EDMS as well as the development of broad KPI’s to help manage plants systems. Additionally, will work closely with the MI Leader, Corrosion SME and Automation team where their areas overlap at our plants.
  • Shall be part of the Global MOE Team in setting direction for our global program improvements.
  • Position is also expected to look outside the company for new technologies/practices in the Maintenance/Reliability area.
  • More detailed scope and responsibilities include:
  • Introduce, lead and coordinate the MOE assessments.
  • Working with the plants, develop some Maintenance/Reliability practices (including a streamlined VIS process) and leverage implementation of those practices across the sites.
  • Work with the Global MOE team to make sure that AMAS needs/directions are clearly understood.
  • Make sure the Global Metrics are accurate and follow up at sites when appropriate.

CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT

  • Reliability Improvement is key for Bostik facilities. Providing methodological support and maintaining the consistency of at the group level is important.
  • Travel to AMAS sites as necessary 40-60%.
  • Supports the sites HES policy and complies with all regulatory and internal requirements.

PURPOSE

  • Acting on the management of the Reliability of the assets to improve, in particular by ensuring the implementation of Bostik MOE and Reliability Improvement program at plant level.
  • Ensure consistency in the use of the CMMS.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and development of the skills of the actors involved in Reliability.

REQUIRED PROFILE (TO FILL THE POSITION)

  • Bachelor degree (as a minimum) in Engineering in one of the following areas: Materials Science; Chemistry; Mechanical; Chemical.
  • 7+ related engineering experience with a minimum of 5 years of experience as a manager/leader within a plant’s Maintenance and/or Reliability Group.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP PM or other CMMS is preferred.
  • Versatile and flexible team player with good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically to identify long-term vision and problem solving.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional manner without a hierarchical link.
  • Rigor and tenacity, capacity for commitment.
  • Ability to work independently.
