The right candidate writes under deadline, builds trusted sources, and promotes stories across digital platforms while staying curious, adaptable and collaborative in a fast-paced newsroom. You must have a strong reel and thrive under pressure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism or related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum two years work experience
• Must have current reel showcasing your work
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize and multitask

Responsibilities

• Pitch unique story ideas daily
• Builds and maintains a list of sources
• Gathers and turns stories on deadline that are fair, accurate, and engaging
• Presents stories on live television on set and in the field
• Posts and promotes stories on multiple digital platforms
• Cultivates curiosity and adaptability
• Works well in a team environment
• Refuses to give up when contacted via phone, email or DM
• Protects reputation and integrity of self and station
• Welcomes coaching and constructive criticism
