TPG is seeking a Software Engineer & Release Manager – Dynamics 365 to drive high-quality software releases and contribute to the technical development of Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications. This hybrid role is ideal for a hands-on technologist with deep Dynamics 365 expertise and a passion for CI/CD, automation, and deployment reliability. While the primary focus is Release Management, this role also includes development responsibilities, making it an excellent fit for a multifaceted engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments with complex pipeline schedules.
5+ years of experience in software development and application lifecycle management
3+ years of hands-on experience with Dynamics 365 (Sales, Service, Marketing, or Operations modules)
Proven track record in managing and executing Dynamics 365 releases via Azure DevOps
Strong understanding of Git, version control systems, and branching strategies
Proficient in technologies including X++, C#, JavaScript, Power Automate, Power Apps, SQL
Deep familiarity with Microsoft Dataverse, Power Platform, and Dynamics 365 architecture
Skilled in managing complex CI/CD pipelines and release schedules
Excellent organizational, documentation, and cross-functional communication skills
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
Microsoft Certifications in relevant Dynamics 365 modules (Sales, Service, Marketing, Operations)
Experience with large-scale Dynamics 365 implementations and rollouts
Familiarity with ISV package management and 3rd-party integrations
Experience supporting environment refreshes and sandbox management
Release Management (Primary Focus):
Plan and coordinate releases across multiple Dynamics 365 environments: Dev, QA, UAT, Production
Build and manage Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines to enable end-to-end CI/CD
Package and deploy customizations, Power Platform components, and ISV packages
Maintain release calendars, documentation, and full audit trails
Coordinate cross-module releases and 3rd-party deployments
Enforce change control and governance processes to ensure compliance and stability
Monitor post-release performance and manage incident response when needed
Partner with QA and business stakeholders to ensure complete testing and sign-off processes
Engineering & Platform Support:
Develop and maintain D365 solutions using X++, JavaScript, Power Platform, and C#
Support integrations via Azure Logic Apps, APIs, and middleware
Triage and resolve defects identified during or after releases
Evaluate Microsoft release wave impacts on current architecture
Support data refreshes and environment management for development and QA
