Job summary

Applied Intuition in Sunnyvale, CA seeks a Build & Release Engineer to own release cuts from Git, manage versioning and artifacts, and maintain CI/CD pipelines. You will lead the internal Release Management portal, collaborating with multiple domain teams to ensure smooth software releases for automotive platforms.

The role requires hands-on software engineering, strong CI/CD expertise, and a passion for building scalable release systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; graduating by December 2026.
• 3+ years of professional software development experience with strong coding ability in at least one modern language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, or JavaScript/TypeScript).
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Buildkite).
• Strong Git experience, including branching, tagging, and release workflows.
• Experience with artifact management systems (e.g., JFrog Artifactory, Nexus, or equivalent).
• Experience designing, building, or maintaining internal tools or portals.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across build, dependency, and release issues.

Responsibilities

• Release Engineering & Orchestration: execute release cuts from Git, manage versioning, define branching strategies, resolve build failures.
• CI/CD Infrastructure: design and maintain scalable pipelines, automate infrastructure, troubleshoot pipeline failures.
• Artifact Lifecycle Management: own versioning, signing, storage, cross-environment promotion, provenance, and repositories.
• Internal Tooling & Portals: develop and maintain Release Management portal, ship new features, integrate with CI/CD.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: coordinate with Program Validation, Embedded/UX/OTA teams on timing, risks, blockers; report status.
