Job summary

Capital Group is seeking an Investment Resources Relationship Specialist to partner with the Investment Resources Relationship Manager and drive sales growth with strategic intermediaries in North America. You will expand platform access, deliver resources, and build plans with home office research groups.

You will travel up to 25% to meet clients and maintain relationships. A 5–10 year background in financial services and strong communication skills are essential, with licenses such as

Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of financial services experience in relationship management.
  • Proven ability to build and execute business plans with intermediary firms.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Self-directed, proactive, and able to drive opportunities with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree required; professional licenses/certifications preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills managing multiple documents and contacts.
  • CFA and/or CIMA designations are highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Expand platform access and servicing for home office research groups within Capital Group’s strategic intermediary firms in North America.
  • Develop and execute business plans with Relationship Managers; deliver traditional and nontraditional resources.
  • Identify business development opportunities and manage relationships with intermediary firms by analyzing results and trends.
  • Represent Capital Group to home office research clients and prospects virtually and in person, with travel as needed.

“I can succeed as an Investment Resources Relationship Specialist at Capital Group.”

As an Investment Resources Relationship Specialist, you will partner with the Investment Resources Relationship Manager to influence sales growth within Capital Group’s strategic intermediary firms in North America by expanding platform access and servicing home office research groups. You will partner closely with the Relationship Managers to build and maintain relationships with strategic intermediaries by developing and executing business plans, delivering traditional and nontraditional resources, and proactively engaging clients. You will represent Capital Group by meeting with home office research clients and prospects virtually and in person, with up to 25% travel depending on client coverage and business needs. You will identify business development opportunities and manage relationships with the firms’ research groups by analyzing, identifying, and recommending investment strategies. You will represent intermediary firm views to the broader Capital Group organization by sharing opportunities and firm priorities through research and analysis of investment results, industry trends, and firm-specific business models and priorities.

  • You have 5-10 years of relevant experience in financial services with a focus on relationship management, sales support, or business development.

  • You’ve successfully built relationships with firms by developing and executing business plans.

  • You have exceptional communication skills and can effectively adapt your style, messaging, and level of detail to diverse audiences, including executives, home office leaders, research teams, advisors, and internal stakeholders

  • You are a proactive, self-directed individual who takes initiative, identifies opportunities, and drives execution with minimal direction while maintaining alignment with strategic priorities.

  • You are skilled in developing sales ideas and marketing concepts from data provided by our partnered firms and communicating insights in a clear, persuasive manner.

  • You’ve demonstrated working knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements.

  • You have strong organizational and multi-tasking skills, that includes keeping track of multiple documents, websites, and contacts both internally and externally, while effectively managing competing priorities.

  • You have a bachelor’s degree.

  • You must hold or obtain within the first 90 days of employment the SIE, Series 7, and Series 63/65 or 66 licenses.

  • CFA and/or CIMA designations are highly preferred.

Southern California Base Salary Range: $125,909-$201,454

New York Base Salary Range: $133,471-$213,554

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
