Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking a Universal Banker in Dunedin, FL to serve as a single point of contact for customers, handling teller and FSR duties with a focus on excellent service and relationship growth.

You will process transactions, open deposits, handle maintenance tasks, and expand customer relationships while following bank policies and security procedures in a friendly, professional environment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Cash handling, sales, customer service. Previous banking experience preferred.
• Knowledge: Good interpersonal skills, good computer skills, ability to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Serves customers quickly, accurately, efficiently, and confidentially according to the South State Bank Service Standards.
• Knows and understands the bank's products and services, including features, benefits, rules, pricing, and simple definitions.
• Identify customer needs and opportunities to expand relationships and referrals as outlined in role goals.
• Maintain a neat and professional appearance per bank policy.
• Comply with banking regulations including Regulation CC and Bank Secrecy Act.
• Develop understanding of customer-facing technology and enroll customers in self-service options.
• Process teller transactions for savings, checking, and loan accounts.
• Open new deposit accounts and handle services such as stop payments, wire transfers, and other maintenance functions.
• Explain policies to customers and resolve issues with courtesy and discretion.
• Show appreciation for customers’ time and business, and provide business cards when appropriate.
• Follow branch security/audit procedures and operate security devices.
