Extraco Banks in Waco, TX is seeking a Relationship Banker to establish and nurture customer relationships, open and manage accounts, and drive growth through referrals. You will be the face of the bank, providing exceptional service and helping customers meet their financial needs through a range of products.

You will handle transactions, support monthly sales targets, and assist customers with digital banking tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• 3+ years of cash handling experience preferred.
• 2+ years retail banking experience preferred.
• 3–5 years of customer service or sales experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with customers.
• Safely and accurately handle cash, coins, and negotiable instruments, following established cash-handling procedures, while processing a wide range of banking transactions including deposits and withdrawals.
• Open and service checking and savings accounts, documenting all services completed on customer accounts.
• Discuss customers’ financial needs to identify opportunities for product recommendations.
• Provide exceptional service through SWARM Banking—greeting customers by name as they enter the lobby.
• Contribute toward monthly sales and service metrics.
• Refer customers to mortgage, wealth management, and insurance specialists.
• Onboard new customers with follow-up routines to ensure successful product use.

Responsibilities that we would like for you to be excited about:

• Develop and maintain strong, trusting relationships with customers.
• Safely and accurately handle cash, coins, and negotiable instruments, following established cash-handling procedures, while simultaneously accurately processing a wide range of banking or teller transactions including deposits and withdrawals, adhering to established procedures and regulatory guidelines.
• Open and service various types of checking and savings accounts, utilizing tools and resources to document all services completed on our customers’ accounts.
• Hold conversations with customers to understand their current and future financial needs to identify opportunities to make product recommendations.
• Provide exceptional service through our SWARM Banking approach, which involves greeting customers by name and greeting them as they walk into our lobbies.
• Help build the business by contributing toward monthly sales and service metrics.
• Refer customers to specialized departments such as mortgage, wealth management and insurance.
• Onboard our new customers through our follow-up routines to ensure the customer’s successful use of our products.
• Utilize technology to educate customers on our full range of digital banking including but not limited to virtual tellers, our mobile app and safe online banking habits. Be a point of contact for customers facing technical issues/difficulties with our digital banking tools.
• Other Duties as assigned

Experience and Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma required
• 4 year degree strongly preferred
• 3 years of cash handling experience strongly preferred
• 2 years retail banking experience strongly preferred
• 3-5 years of customer service or sales experience required

Qualifications that would be a plus:

• Experience in opening accounts for Small Business customers

Work Hours

Hours will vary depending on location assigned. Consistent weekend availability on Saturdays during the hours of 8:30am - 1:00pm.
